Rebecca June Briggs

Rebecca

Rebecca Briggs became involved in the Bendigo music scene at a young age. She learnt violin, piano, and joined the Bendigo Youth Choir.

Rebecca began singing lessons with Valerie Broad, became involved in musical theatre and performed locally. Her acting career took her into becoming a program presenter for 'Media Australia' while she was still in high school.

She moved to Melbourne for tertiary studies in drama and music and became involved in many productions gaining leading rolls.

Rebecca returned to Bendigo pursuing her teaching career whilst continuing to perform in local theatre productions. Rebecca enjoys performing jazz as it gives her an avenue to explore her passion for music.

Stephen Kenneth Briggs

Stephen

Stephen Briggs was born into a musical family and started learning the piano at the age of 4. He studied classical piano at the University of Melbourne under the direction of Trevor Barnard.

He fell in love with jazz during his teenage years and has been studying jazz piano concurrently with his classical studies.

Stephen has performed with many jazz and funk groups, as well has performing as a soloist with the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra. He now spends his time teaching music at Catholic College Bendigo and performing whenever he gets the opportunity.

Wesley James Hunter

Wes

Wes Hunter began his musical journey learning classical piano, which he followed through to a high level before discovering he had a natural talent for playing drums.

Wes graduated from Box Hill Institute in 2004 where he had the privilege of learning from some of Australia's most renowned drum teachers including Tony Floyd, Robi Parolin and more recently the highly acclaimed David Jones.

Relocating to Bendigo in 2005, Wes now devotes his time to numerous musical projects and has been performing with Segué Jazz Trio since 2007.
